This fall, two construction milestones are expected for The Trails—a master-planned community in New Caney—according to a Sept. 17 news release from developer Castle Hill Partners. First America Homes, a division of developer The Signorelli Co., has joined the lineup of builders for the community’s second phase, which features 344 homesites also contracted to Chesmar, Coventry, Westin and Lennar, according to the news release. First America Homes is scheduled to begin building move-in-ready houses this fall.

The Trails, a master-planned community in New Caney, announced an expanded builder lineup and construction of a retail shopping center and five-acre amenity campus. First America Homes, the homebuilding arms of The Signorelli Company, is joining the existing builders in the community’s second phase of development, which include Chesmar Homes, Lennar and Westin Homes.

The second phase of development is underway at The Trails, Castle Hill Partners’ New Caney master-planned community. This second phase includes 344 lots ranging from 40 to 60 feet wide. Chesmar Homes, Coventry Homes, Westin Homes and Lennar will serve as the buyers, offering homes priced from the upper-$200,000s.

Nearly two years after starting home sales, the 1,373-acre community The Trails near the northeastern curve of the Grand Parkway has opened its second phase as a 30-acre shopping center is set to break ground soon.

East of Valley Ranch near the Grand Parkway and Plum Grove Road, a nature-focused 1,373-acre community called the Trails is opening its second phase with hundreds of homes and additional amenities.

Phase 2 for The Trails—a master-planned community in New Caney—has kicked off with about 350 homes planned for the area, according to an April 27 news release from developer Castle Hill Partners.

The Trails, a rapidly-growing community of new homes located off the Grand Parkway at Plum Grove Road (28827 Cross Pines Drive), will welcome visitors for the return of “Taste of The Trails” set for Saturday, April 25 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Trails will host an exclusive event for Houston-area Realtors, inviting agents to experience the New Caney community during its Spring Fest & Model Home Tour on Thursday, April 23 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Construction is underway on a new amenity complex at The Trails, Castle Hill Partners’ master-planned community in New Caney.

“From the beginning, our vision for The Trails has been to create a community that feels connected to nature, recreation and to one another,” said Tiffany McMillan, vice president of asset management for Castle Hill Partners, in a statement. “Our new amenity campus will bring that vision to life by offering residents a venue where they can relax, gather and build lasting memories.”

Castle Hill Partners’ community is one of many being developed or planned in the area since that segment of the Grand Parkway opened.

The development emphasizes walkability with 600 acres of its land designated for nature trails.

Austin’s Castle Hill Partners is launching its next major project in the Houston region. Named “The Trails,” this development will span 1,373 acres around Plum Grove Road, adjacent to the Grand Parkway’s northeast section that became operational in May 2022.

After a decade of land ownership, Austin-based Castle Hill Partners is moving forward on a nature-focused community planned for more than 2,000 homes along the Grand Parkway northeast of Houston.
